libbysmom Hi, I'm Cindy. I have four homeschooled sons, and when I write about them they are known as The Four Horsemen, for obvious reasons. I also have five cats and two collies. My collie Libby is my service dog, making my life as a brain injury survivor much easier. Funnier, too. I thought we had all the pets, but I was wrong. My eldest son wanted hermit crabs, so I bought a 10 gallon tank and some crabs for his 20th birthday. He promptly went off to the wilds of New Mexico for the summer, leaving me at the mercy of our crabs. I am now hopelessly addicted, have filled my 40 gallon tank and am saving my pennies for the 180 gallon which has caught my eye. I guess that makes me just another victim of Cute Crab Syndrome. I hear there is no cure. When I am not herding cats or cleaning up spots on the rug, I like to hike and take photographs of wildlife and plants. I am an avid gardener and collect alpine plants- the little guys which can be as small as 1/2 inch tall. However, my main interest is in wetland restoration. My dream would be to live near the Everglades National Park and participate in the restoration projects currently underway, and visit the hermit crabs in Key West on the weekends. |
