Also, does anyone know of a way to gently make them more active? Other than bathing that is, because I don't bathe them, they can do that themselves. I have 50 crabs, only about 7 are dug under, but the tank looks empty most of the time because they are in one of the 6 moss beds/hides lol. I love th...

Do your hermies prefer a pretty consistent 72? 75? or?? and humidity? My tank generally tends to run the high end of "preferred" to just in the "red" of my stats - I have PPs, Es, Indos, Pink Indos, Straws, Violas, and Blueberries - what would you say is a good range (if other than recommended) to k...

Fall activity level related to lights?
My crabbies have been considerably less active the past few weeks as the weather has begun changing. They very rarely stray from the mossy areas except in the middle of the night. Nothing has changed except that I am finally rid of the fruit flies for now. Should I have more light on them? Right now...

Redecorated and some pics of hermies
I had a fruit fly problem so it was the perfect opportunity to redecorate. I also took some hermie pictures too. I am going to be taking ID pictures soon as well and plan to post those. I hope you enjoy these! This is the overview of the whole tank: http://i991.photobucket.com/albums/af34/ZooMama67/...

I haven't been able to find this info via searches, and it maybe obvious common sense, but not for me lol :) When you put an "out of it" hermie that may or may not die/may or may not be naked in ISO - do you lay them on top of the substrate, or do you bury them? I ask because I would be concerned ab...

Greenery - silk vs plastic
I need to add more greenery to my tat - I currently have silk and plastic - is there an official preference? What do your crabs prefer?
I have both now, they use the silk the most but I think that is because of the placement.

I concur with everyone WOW lol - it really makes me want to build a hermie house and start up like an "adoption" facility/Internet store to make good quality/healthy hermies available, that would be soooo cool to work with them all day. I wonder if it is a worth while venture and sustainable. That w...
