Re: Air Quality Issues

>>>>>>If what your saying is try and there eyes are this sensitive- wouldn't they be in pain from the salt in there pools and wild ones from the ocean? Air Quality Issues

Whenever Azazul has a complaint about air quality issues, she ducks under the abalone shell in the crabitat. I guess the bad smells are somewhat filtered out in that cave-like area. That's my assumption anyway, but I believe it. Last week she was spending alot of time down there. I know this is not ...

Re: Crab climbing on grate.

When I first got Azazul, the 40 gallon came with a screen top, so I used it. She spent hours upside down rattling around. I thought it was good she was getting so much exercise and had found some activity that she had a passion for. I mentioned it to the previous owner and she said, "I won't put the...

Re: Looking for opinions on Repti-Fogger by Zoo-Med.

A summary of my thoughts on foggers in general: 1) Must use distilled water. This is available at Target for as low as $0.88/gal which is the same as purified gallons. This is ok for the crab and unlike spring water, will not create large amounts of airborne dust. And it won't clog. I think this wil...

Re: Windows 8.1 review.

It's something like version 10 now. 1) Microsoft is engineering the system to recognize the platform its running on and adjust. That way the phone will run the same system as a tablet or desktop. This is a big advantage for their development costs and for developers too. So the phone system will kee...

Re: Vick's Sonic air humidifier

This solution works for me because I live in Arizona. If I try to keep the humidity "in" with a lid on top of the crabitat, it causes too much heat buildup also. So yes, actively maintaining it takes lots of work. But a little extra humidity in the room is probably good for my nose anyway. This summ...

Re: Vick's Sonic air humidifier

Update on the Vick's sonic humidifier: By itself, the vicks will develop yellow algae and grey mold due to constant exposure to water and humidity. I tried buying two of them and swapping them out every 24 hours to let them dry out. I also dry them out between uses to remove growth. BUT, this doesn'...

My assumptions concerning crab communication

My crab Azazul has learned that she can wake me up at 3am if necessary by staring at me. I was unable to sleep due to all the phantom itchiness, so I got up to see why she was messing with me. I believe this is a common occurrence with crabs, although it takes a certain kind of person to admit it. I...

Vick's Sonic air humidifier

Hi I bought a Vick's sonic air humidifier at Walmart. I'm on my third one. It was designed for people. It is silent and emits a visible cloud of humidity in a 3 foot long arc through the air. It costs roughly $39 dollars. The reason I'm using this, is because I live in Arizona. This creates a unique...

Re: IM GETTING TIRED OF THIS!!

Bocoom, Hi. I have a 14 year old Purple Pincher. She has a history of not tolerating other crabs. From previous discussions on HCA, I was told this is because if a crab lives in isolation for too long, they stop liking other crabs. It is possible it is not fixable. However, now that I think about it...

Toshiba products absolutely stink....

I would try a commercial file recovery service. 100 hours is too much to lose.It happens though. Sometimes it is necessary to start over.
