HCA: Hermit Crab Association

Anyone know the water settings ph and such for water pools for both salt water and purified?
Got 2 different 3 lt pools with a sponge filter and was wondering what the checmical levels should be

okay with a solution to the issue how do i prevent this from happening again?
I know i spray the moss that is in there daily but not enough to flood...or maybe it is.

so i took your advice and dug a hole in the tank and soaked it up with some extra paper towels (alot) There was a very light smell but no discoloration so i left it be and will wait for a deep clean to continue Thank you for all the tips. 2 of the 3 have started digging holes and they are a lot deep...
