I have given mine PB2 occasionally, not as a staple, but as a ~something different~

Re: Question about wheel
Mine has been in the tank for a couple of years. Doesn't seem to bother them any.

Re: Tank supply suggestions
I found a sturdy broad leaf, small tree? In the reptile section at petco, my crabs love their's and sit in it often.

Re: advice pls
If the new tank doesn't have a heat source, he's going to have to stay put.

Re: Dollar tree crabitat supplies
I glued those flat marbles to the bottom pool so that the top pool sticks up a bit.

Re: Dollar tree crabitat supplies
The jute may be a problem. Pretty sure it needs to be natural jute. Most jute is treated with some sort of oil. Hopefully someone else will chime in.

Re: Appropriate stand for crabitat & more?
I'm not worried about the weight of the blocks, I can paint them outside, carry them in one at a time. Plan to do 3 rows of 2, so as to have middle support. Stick the glue on and stack it. Let it sit until it's good and dry. My house is an old farmhouse, over 100 years old, has the original wood flo...

Re: Tank toppers
There's a guy on youtube, search serpadesigns (think I spelled it right) he does tanks for fish, toads, lizards, etc. Posted a video of how to tank apart and redo a broken tank. Might get some clues there. He makes some really neat stuff, wish I had the energy to do some of the things he does. Some ...

Re: Plexiglass questions
I tried plexiglass, even duct taped to the top of a mesh screen it warped, pulled the duct tape off it warped so bad. Plus my crabs like the mesh top, gives them another level to climb on. They cruise around upside down on it. [emoji886][emoji16]

Re: Crab relaxing???
One of mine just sits there and tucks in and the other rolls up in his shell, kicks off and falls off whatever he's sitting on. Soon as I shut the lid, they pop back out.

Re: Heat Mat Placement
Sorry, forgot the last part. I have mine across the back and also on one side. As above the substrate as I can get it. Overlaps just a bit.

Re: Heat Mat Placement
Ultratherm, most of us use these. They are non sticky, can be insulated over, are movable. I stick mine on with packing tape. I think I got mine at bean farm, but reptile basics has them also. Bean farm had a sale when I got mine, so they won. LOL

Re: Appropriate stand for crabitat & more?
If I ever manage to get the 75g out of the barn, I plan to use cement blocks (painted) and an appropriate sized board (also painted) that way I can have it at the height I need. I'm going to use cement glue (just can't remember what it's called) to avoid any slippage. I found the idea on a fish tank...

Neither, I don't want anything to interfere with my heat source. But that is just me.
