Re: Pale, lethargic and continuous shell changes after molt

Thank you for your input! The soil is moist, but I can definitely make it deeper. They're so small it seemed like enough but no harm in having extra. Those water and nutrition pages were very informative, I had no idea the soaking salt was inadequate even though it's being marketed for hermit crabs...

Re: He’s back!!

Yay!! Mr EnDoh came back up today; he’s been down since December 14! I couldn’t be more pleased, and from what I’ve seen so far his colors are incredible! I’ll post a ‘color pic’ as soon as he decides to get cleaned up! Now we just gotta wait for Princess and Mr S! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/...

Re: 65 Gallon New Crabitat!

Once you add the weight of the wheels and shelves the top of the egg crate leans out from the glass. With a determined crab they will eventually find that opening and climb between the egg crate and rear glass. It is probably possible with out the tension rods but we play it safe. The tension rods ...

Re: 65 Gallon New Crabitat!

We just put a few in tonight. We had to wait for everything to adjust. We haven't had an issue with the tension rods becoming loose. You could possibly add a strip of silicone to the rod and allow it to dry too. It's just the LED lamps that came with the tank. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk So...

Well that's relieving. I put only about half an inch of substrate over him and I covered that with half a coconut for privacy
That would be enough to suffocate him. They make caves for themselves. At this point it's best to unbury him again and just put the coconut on top.

Re: Hi I’m Kimberly My handle is KimzKrabs and I’m new as of today!

Welcome! A heat lamp will zap humidity. You can seal the entire lid. They will get oxygen when you feed them. Of course make sure the heat lamp doesn't melt the plastic wrap. Maybe it's the picture, but the substrate needs to be a minimum of 6 inches or 3x the height of your largest crab, whichever ...

Re: What are your crabs up to?

My crab Kaulder has been pretty lethargic for the past 3 days or so. She's just been sitting on top her crabby climber, hiding in her shell, not really interacting with her best buddy like always. Today she disappeared from her favorite spot and left Beau alone all day (which is not like her). So I...

Re: Websites with Good Shells :) Concerns about my lid!!

Thank you very much for the great advice, sorry for the late response I forgot my password! Lol How did you use the press n seal of the lid? I recently bought it and am curious on how it works. :o Any plastic can be taped town with packing tape. Even though it's press and seal, it won't be tight en...

Re: Hermit Crab lost 2 legs

Right now I have cardboard wrapped in a towel on top of the mesh lid that I got with the tank plus 3 heaters the temperature was 74 this morning. Humidity has been stuck at 85 for weeks. Anything else I could use to cover the mesh lid that is less annoying then what I’ve currently got (less annoyin...
