Crossville, TN, 5 needing rehome

Hi all, my living situation has changed and I can no longer properly care for these guys. I have a 40 breeder, on metal stand. 2 UTH side mounted, a bunch of shells. And other various items for the little ones. I am hoping to get enough back to pay for the aquarium, 100$. We are willing to travel so...

Re: FOUND IN SALT WATER TORN APART

I also recommend little bone as a great source or calcium. I have mine crushed and in a shell dish for them at all times. I found they eat it this way more then as a whole piece (and you will definitely see them eating it). Sometimes I'll mix a large amount of little bone in with honey for a treat S...

Re: Molting cave window

Well, I think he was just tunneling around because he did not end up staying there. They rarely molt against the tank glass ever . although it might have happened to others. In a rare case When they actually molt you won't even know where they are. up against glass they are just hanging out and dig...

Re: Scavenging food method

This is how I feed my food. My crabs seem to enjoy it, but you can still most definitely see which food out is there favorite. Sometimes I'll see two or three eating together around one bowl.

Re: Show me your crabitats!

Dude, I had 60-some in a 135G for years without issues until those stupid ants. I go with the flow these days but I have always personally thought the newer recommendations were a little too conservative. That's always been my thoughts. Getting back into have the little ones this time I stuck to a ...

Beautiful shells you’ve got there! I bet your crabs are super excited to start trying them all on! Ordered shells!

I ordered some shells off of etsy. And I have to say I'll never go back to hunting for them in stores near me. The prices were fair and the quality of the shells were fabulous. Here are some pictures! I'll get better pictures of the shells after we boil them, alot of them still have sand or dirt on ...

Re: More insane colors

They just randomly come up that way, and the next molt go back to more normal. I've had everything from smalls to jumbos do it. These guys are all borderline jumbos though. Do you think the change could be due to increase in certain foods? Like in humans eating a lot of carrots (like A LOT) can cau...

Re: Saved 9 jumbos this weekend

I think it's awesome that you went with a large aquarium to start and jumped in! It looks great, I can't see anything they need and don't have. All the extras you add over time with just give them more possibilities to roam!

Update: I completely redid the tank, set them back up and sealed the tank better than before. We have set up some traps and haven't seen many all day, so I'm hoping the problem is solved! Thank you all for your help

Re: What is your dream pet to own?

LJJ, I have always wanted a dog as well, but my allergies are through the roof (woof?) to them and I haven't wanted to risk it. I once broke out in head to toe hives from the dog manager walking a Shiba Inu past my office door to show me how adorable it was. (No regrets!) My husband sends me pictur...
