HCA: Hermit Crab Association

I measured the other shell and it's not a 2" shell. Just slightly larger than the 1 1/2" shell. I am going to order some 1 3/4 and 2 inch shells. I hate picking him up and don't know if I can get a measurement of his legs.

How are hermit crabs sized? I have a PP that I think is pretty large. I've had him about 14 yrs? He just came up from a moult. He moved into a larger shell. My crab just moulted and moved into a jade turbo with a 2-2 1/2" opening, yes opening. Naples doesn't have shells any bigger than what he just moved out/into.
