Re: New crab dropped all limbs

Thank you. Its really sad I only had such a short time with him. It just really surprising, he was so active, so outgoing, and super friendly. It’s so heartbreaking how they go down hill so fast, I wish there was more we could do for them.

Molting E in Bacterial Bloom & Lost Limbs

So cool! It probably feels good to him, to be able to move on his own. I wondered if that was the other end of that blue scoop/spoon! I have one too, I think it’s from Hermie’s Kitchen. Lol! I love seeing Eddie’s pictures and videos. He really likes to stretch out in his baths! I’m so glad he is doi...

I’ll definitely never hear it the same again. It’ll always be “crab on the run” from now on! Lol!

Crab on the run

In wonder if when he hit the bubbler tubing, it scared him? That was quite the run!

Edit: I take that back bc he was starting to run before that.

Is anyone else hearing “band on the run” Lol!

Re: New crab dropped all limbs

Thank you soo much, Motorcrab! I have him on sand now, I will definitely get him on some moss. I’ve read through your post probably 20 times before just for the pictures and now another 20 times just trying to get an idea of how to care for this little one. I’m going to warm up some dechlorinated sa...

Re: New crab dropped all limbs

I was thinking about that, I’m not sure if he is moving. I looked at him and put him back, I don’t want to stress him out anymore. I picked him up just to see what was going on inside his shell but he didn’t move. His antenna and feelers are all tangled so I can’t really see any movement, I’m thinki...

New crab dropped all limbs

I had gotten a little crab exactly a week ago yesterday, last night I noticed he was missing a leg, his BP, and his antenna were crossed and not moving. I thought maybe he was attacked but I found his limbs where he had been sleeping. I ISO’d him last night and just checked on him, he’s dropped all ...

Re: Bulldozer in rough shape

He should be ok, I’ve had a couple that were missing pieces of their legs, or a whole leg. Dip him in warm freshwater(dechlorinated) to rinse him off, it rinses any unfamiliar smells off of them, or you can just put him in your freshwater pool when you add him to your habitat. I’m not sure how they ...
