Re: Crab “shaking”/ twitching? (Not an emergency)
The fact that you moved him to the bigger tank would make since. My crabs shake all the time if they're scared. Maybe giving it a little more time would be a good idea. Thank you for responding! And you’re correct, it must’ve just been the new environment. I don’t notice anymore little shakes! Sent...

Misting bottle ~ question
So, I bought a plant mister from Walmart quite some time ago. I noticed it smelt awfully of plastic. So I let it sit in hot water (for a few days) with a tiny bit of soap, hoping to get the smell out The smell isn’t as bad anymore, but still isn’t to my likings. So I haven’t used it yet Question: is...

Re: Different legs?
The leg on the left in the photo is his shield leg. When they pull tight into their shell, that is the leg that locks the opening down so nothing can get around the big the claw to get to their less armored body inside. It is smooth and differently shaped for that purpose. Awh duh! I should’ve know...

Different legs?
This is probably a silly question but I’ve been meaning to ask it for awhile! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190125/1e327f0bf62c2783a7d31c616e080ada.jpg Why is one leg so smooth, and the other so hairy? Is this normal? He’s been like this for as long as I can remember! (I’ve had him for around 8...

Re: Shells finally came in! (A big success)
Congratulations! It's crazy how crabs react to new shells! I always enjoy watching them roll and poke inside the shells before they decide to change. We will watch them for 30-40 minutes but as soon as we walk away is when they finally change! I guess they like their privacy and don't want to be se...

Shells finally came in! (A big success)
After a long postage wait and much needed shells, I finally got them! (Purchased off of Naples seashells) After rinsing them in salt water my big guy changed in the first 2 hours they were put in! Finally moving into the 65 gallon! (Heating question)
Keep us updated on ur tat progress! Current progress/update: it’s not 100%, I still gotta add a bit more sub. Especially in the left corner. I’m still waiting on my shells and climbing vine in the mail, grrr. Also kinda want to add a third level with a small shower caddy :) https://uploads.tapatalk...

Crab “shaking”/ twitching? (Not an emergency)
Hey all, obviously this isn’t an emergency, just some odd behaviour I noticed. My crab is very active and eats a lot, I’ve had him for most of my life. (My tank conditions/temp are fine) But I noticed when he’s sitting still / tucked slightly into his shell he’ll sometimes do these funny little leg ...
