Re: Large Pants!!

Haha! It's funny because my E has the smallest pants ever! Idk- don’t be too sure- https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200127/1ed7f7d55daa6fa3d7e111a12ed1eb2d.jpg They’ll definitely drive you nuts there!!! [emoji23] Some of my hermits seem to prefer the larger shells too- there have been a couple ti...

New Kid on the Block

Well, I stopped by my local pet store on Friday, just to kill some time, and they had all these bulbs on sale for just $1.99 each! So I promptly contacted @RiNiKy506 to see what she needed, and I even went ahead and purchased the hood I needed while I was at it! I bought 9 bulbs. https://uploads.tap...

Re: Rescued a large hermy questions about his exoskeleton

Sounds like you’ve got a great handle on the situation. As very one said, just keep offering those good healing foods, and lots of minerals etc he might not have had- worm poo, bee pollen, healing honey etc. they said what I was thinking- he’s likely close to molt. The best thing would be if he hold...

Re: Size difference

Yep! That’s more or less what I do for my Littles as well. There are a few who are unmistakable (my ‘ghost crab’ for one!) The others that are twins get called a name. Might not be the same one every time but hey, we do the best we can! The small ones are more hard bc they’re growing so much faster ...

Re: Size difference

I THINK she’s on the left. Mr S is just about as big as she is but she has a little larger span- but the one leg I can see looks like Mr S to me! [emoji3059] They couldn’t choose different shells or anything, that would just be too easy! [emoji38] Dave the Wondercrab~Pat~Maggie~ Billy~Pop~Corn~Ten~S...

Re: Size difference

DIY wheels work too by using a fidget spinner and round container. Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk Brilliant!! I gotta look more into this- with my final build (final- what? Psh.) coming up I just might find a great use for this!! Thanks!! Dave the Wondercrab~Pat~Maggie~ Billy~Pop~Corn~Ten~Sam...

Re: Hands-off or hands-on? I'd like to bring a thought to the table

I try not to handle mine too much because they're small mediums but when they get bigger I plan to try and hand feed my willing crabs by offering them treats. Right now I'm more focused of making sure they grow and are nice and healthy. I feel like being so small theyre a little more nervous with i...

Re: Hands-off or hands-on? I'd like to bring a thought to the table

Awww thank you! Gene is a sweetie. And yes! That’s who I meant. [emoji1303] Your second from the bottom, with the lighter colors, reminds me a lot of Corn- she’s got that light colored m leg thing going on too! She eats well tho, so it’s just her as far as I can tell! She is probably one of the shye...

Hands-off or hands-on? I'd like to bring a thought to the table

Awww such pretty little friends you have! I love the one in the dark shell that looks like he’s got a grey-ish type hue, the one up on your arm in the other pic I think? They’re all very pretty crabbies! I’d like to hear from anybody else who visits with their friends, occasionally or a little more ...

Stubborn E

@RiNiKy found some randomly in her pet shop one day when she went in, and since she knew I wanted some, she immediately texted me and asked how many I wanted! [emoji16][emoji177] @RiNiKy506 is the best!! [emoji8] So that’s how we got ours. I drove up her way and we finally got to meet. (Awesome!) An...

Re: Size difference

Wheels are the best! Always good for entertainment- and for the crabs too! [emoji38] Mine also love their wheels, absolutely one of the best things I’ve added to any tank hands down. They love them, plus I feel guilty that they can’t walk more like they would naturally anyway. I’m just a guilty feel...

Eccie size?

Oh wow- I would absolutely love to have an adult E! (I said adult, just mean an older and larger crab!) But- at the sane time I would feel so bad bc they would have lived on the beach free for many years before having to try to adapt to captivity... I guess unless we can get better about keeping the...

Hands-off or hands-on? I'd like to bring a thought to the table

I stay kind of hands off, as I will get them out occasionally to let them explore a bucket with a climbing surface while I shower and I will occasionally let my female walk on my hands but not my male. My female is generally more chill when it comes to handling whereas the male freaks out. I have a...
