Meaning 3-4 because when I got enough to add it to 8 inches, I had noticed one was buried

So I thought one of my hermit crabs went down to molt a few days ago, I accidentally in covered the top of its shell, left it alone and the next day there was a big mound of substrate over where it was with a little tunnel in it. I think it may be molting because when I got up this morning, there was a lot of substrate moved over the spot and I can see what looks like a little tunnel
