Crab cons?

How soon will you be moving and needing to re-home them? We can possibly adopt them, I have been debating upgrading my 20 G to a 30 soon. We are also going to Crab Con near Buffalo in mid July. I can potentially put a feeler out to see if anyone there may be interested in adopting them as well. Eve...

Re: Which glues are best?

Welcome welcome, I’m not too knowledgeable on this specific issue but I know some people use shower caddies and most of those have suction cups already on them!

Re: Moving crabitat

When should I dig them up? I’ve had one buried for almost a month now and the other for a week or two

Moving crabitat

Hi all, since I have my 10 gallon crabitat in my dorm room, which is about 1.25-1.5 hours away from my house, I am going to have to move them eventually. Break is coming up and I need to plan for how to best transport them. Thank you all.

Re: New Crab Owner(:

Congrats, I recently got 3 PP’s myself a few weeks ago. What do you currently have your crabs in now? I had my tank set up a few days before I got mine so I could make sure I would be able to maintain proper heat/humidity

Making a mess

Looks like on of my PP’s, the biggest named Roll, has been doing some remodeling as he may have tried to bury an empty big shell. In the process he got substrate into a salt water dish causing it to drain out....

Re: Very confused

Meaning 3-4 because when I got enough to add it to 8 inches, I had noticed one was buried

Re: Very confused

It’s a few inches deep. The one above ground, Crash, is now still trying to get at that spot

Very confused

So I thought one of my hermit crabs went down to molt a few days ago, I accidentally in covered the top of its shell, left it alone and the next day there was a big mound of substrate over where it was with a little tunnel in it. Another one of my crabs I thought was trying to dig him up, so I moved...

Re: Molting?

I think it may be molting because when I got up this morning, there was a lot of substrate moved over the spot and I can see what looks like a little tunnel

Molting?

Hi, I recently got 3 new land hermit crabs. They were pretty. I had their 10 gallon tank set up with a couple inches of coconut fiber substrate for about 3/4 and about 1/4 of sand with a side mounted heat pad. I made sure I was able to keep the humidity and temperature consistent for a few days befo...
