Re: Pinchy Palace Journal

They're all purple pinchers! Or at least they should be. I haven't touched them since they were adopted. I'll take some up front photos when I move them over to the big tank. I was tempted to do the move... But opted to silicone down the handles to the proper place first. Sent from my Pixel 3a using...

Re: Pinchy Palace Journal

My amanos, fostered at my fiancé's for the last 2 years, finally came back to me. Lily demanded to inspect them first. They went into the freshwater pool. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200127/274f091ed63b335f2c7e8b1d30faddcc.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200127/6f5e12c4bbb3454d7b2c8967...

Re: Building a multiple tank stand soon, but I have weight questions

There was another post about weight calculations before...a crabitat would have a similar weight to full an aquarium with sand and decor as well.

Anti stress is a stress coat which is the same thing as slime coat. It's safe to use.

Re: Pinchy Palace Journal

The fan, I ended up sandwiching between egg crate and craft mesh. I ran out of egg crate, so I put together what pieces I had left, with craft mesh filling the rest. I couldn't put it between the fresh and salt water as it blocks the ladder access. I decided to suspend it above the saltwater, held by...

Re: Pinchy Palace Journal

Please excuse the stuff on top of the lid. All the terranium mosses were moved to somewhere lower yesterday. I think they were getting fried by being too close to the light. I hope they recover. Front brace added. Finally finished this after I bought another pack of zip ties. I got to say, using 8" ...

Re: Pinchy Palace Journal

I'm glad the diagrams are helpful =D The egg crate is secured by usbstrate only. I decided on 9" minimum, so it was more than enough. Also, with (al and (b) secured together, it made it easy to ensure it stays up while the sand is put in. I highly HIGHLY suggest doing all egg crate before you even ...

Re: Pinchy Palace Journal

Hey Scarlet.... for your pools: How did you get the egg crate to adhere to the tank? The silicone doesn’t do a great job for me. I’ve been following your thread - so helpful as I go along with constructing mine. I like your minimalist look, too. Mine looks like a toddler found moms egg crate stash ...

Re: My smallest hermit wont dig?

Where he is sitting probably makes him feel safe. Just leave him be to become comfortable with the new surroundings.

Fyi If you dig yourself, you might end up disturbing molters so avoid doing so.

Re: Anything good on Amazon?

I got a $100 gift card for Christmas, and I was wondering if you all had any suggestions on some good products I could buy on there? My birthday's a few days away, and I think I'm getting an Etsy gift card, too. I noticed some of you, Like GotButterflies, have organic food stores on there that I'm ...

Re: Pinchy Palace Journal

Exercise wheel complete! It's mounted upside down so nothing is touching the sand to minimize disruptions during digging activities. I tied up a net on the bracket so it acts an additional place to climb on. Although the wheel is a few inches off the sand, the crabs can climb on via the climbing str...

Re: Molding

Are you referring to plants moulding, or just mould in general? You need humidity to be at 80%.anything higher will create conditions for mold. You could lower humidity to limit mould from develop.

Re: Hermit Crab lost 2 legs

I had quite a successful shopping trip today. I bought two 14L bins that lock--one for salt and the other for my coco fibre. I bought a smaller one for my boxes of moss. At the PetSmart I bought a Hydrometer (from Fluvial Company) for mixing up the instant ocean because my math skills suck. 2 shell...

Re: Humidity Issues

Is your sand dry? If so, it tends to absorb what humidity there is.
