Re: random isopod??

Yeah, I have heard those stories too, but I think a couple isopod buddies are worth a go. Is that one isopod still around? I'd recommend keeping him and seeing how that goes :) as far as I know he lives under their food dish and is still there, maybe I'll add some more in because I know we dont use...

Re: random isopod??

Isopods are great (I personally tried them and they were fine, I just couldn't deal with them because I hate bugs) but it is a little suspicious that you don't know where he came from. Try searching around the tank to see if there are any more maybe? It could be potentially dangerous if stuff from ...

I was changing out my hermies' food tonight when I spotted a small pillbug likely cleaning up some of the uneaten food, I'm really not sure how it got in there. should I try and hunt it down and get it out or would it be fine to leave it in as a small "clean-er upper" there was only one and it was o...

Re: DIY 20 gallon

An update on the project, my dad helped me build a framework to keep these two together, and we used silicone to fill in the gaps and I'll be setting up the tank tomorrow, I'm just glad I can get these crabs into a proper-sized habitat. Hopefully the crabs down melting will come up soon so I can mov...

Re: Brand new Babes!

First, congrats on the new crabs :D! Second, does the little guy have any certain characteristics? There are thousands of names, but a few for your little guy could be Sheldon (Big Bang Theory, anyone?), Scuttle, Crusty, Captain Hook (I NEED to name one of mine this, haha!), Hermione (Harry Potter ...

Brand new Babes!

Today I got two new crabs to add to the colony! I had Iris and Amber before these lovely additions. I decided to expand after the crab I held dearest to my heart unexpectedly passed. I have a smaller and a larger crab and decided to name the bigger of the two zeus and need a name suggestion for the ...

Re: Limp crab, no smell, not sure if dead

Hey! I do know all of the things you've mentioned, I'm actually saving up for a new tank and accurite thermometer and hydrometer, they were in some better conditions but I had to move them somewhere where they had to downgrade a bit and it put a lot of stress on them. There's still not smell coming...
