Re: Serial swapper?
I have had crabs change shells a few times a day, it is completely normal
I think you should try to keep an eye on them, otherwise, just leave them be.

Re: Bought a fogger but now what?
Hi I bought a fogger for my new crabitat I’m setting up to help regulate humidity and I read somewhere that I may need to add a false bottom? What is that? How do I do it? Is is necessary? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I use a fogger/ humidifier that doesn't cause any flooding or condensation....

Re: What shell's do Aussie's prefer?
I ended up using the eBay seller because I wanted some of the Babylonians and jap snail shells. She even gave me different looking shells so I could tell the crabs apart when they wear them! I will definitely try out The shop you recommended next time I look for shells :) I've already had a try-on o...

Re: SURVEY! SHELLS
I have 1/2 a ceramic flower pot that sits on the substrate, and I use that as a bit of a shell shop. I tried elevated, but it wasn't popular. The ceramic pot is the current favourite sleeping spot right now, so that's a bit of a bonus!
I suppose they like the heat it'd hold!

Where to get greensand in Australia?
I have been looking for greensand that is available in Australia. There is nothing on Amazon, eBay, or bunnings. Any Aussies who know where to get it?

Re: New crabs- light colored injuries (?) and quarantine questions
I quarantine for a month, even if there are no sicknesses. Mainly it is so that they get food and water in them so that they are in good health before they try to moult.
I'm afraid I don't know what those white marks are, though.
Good luck with your new crabs!

Re: Humidity/temperature emergency in 55-gallon
I'm not sure what you could do about the water pools. I've heard that some people use a splash guard to stop water spilling over, or you could just take the bubblers out. Another option that I use for constant humidity is a humidifier because it doesn't involve spraying and drenching the substrate, ...

Re: My family member has a worm farm, would it be safe to feed my hermit crab's the castings?
I know one thing about worms. They can or seem to tolerate many pesticides. We have worms on/in our golf greens which are treated with many pesticides. I’m going to be super paranoid that I’ll get something in the crabitat when we start spraying again during the growing season. I don’t know if the ...

My nanna has a worm farm, and I don't know whether the castings are safe. Any ideas?
