When I put together the care sheet I double checked on the major brands including Red Sea (which I was using at the time!) and they were all mixed at 1/2 cup per gallon.
Awesome. I probably messed it up when I was measuring it myself. Thanks for the heads up everyone :)

Re: Hermit out of shell and not moving, and weird lump on abdomen

Best way to share an image is with the tapatalk app for forums. I wish it was easier but we are on old software here. It sounds like you're seeing her molting sac, which is an extra storage bubble of fat for when food gets scarce or they go down to molt. That I would not be worried about. You can p...

when you say heat pads in your tank, you mean on the outside right? heat pads shouldn’t be on the inside the crabs could burn

Hermit out of shell and not moving, and weird lump on abdomen

1. What kind of substrate is used in your tank and how deep is it? My tank has a mix of eco earth and play sand, 6 inches deep. 2. Do you have gauges in the tank to measure temperature and humidity? If so, where are they located and what temperature and humidity do they usually read? I haven't been...

Re: Serial swapper?

I have had crabs change shells a few times a day, it is completely normal :D I think you should try to keep an eye on them, otherwise, just leave them be.

My crab, Lily likes to just perch on a stick for hours on end, and forgets to be scared of me like she usually is
Beautiful photos, by the way!

Re: Bought a fogger but now what?

Re: What shell's do Aussie's prefer?

I ended up using the eBay seller because I wanted some of the Babylonians and jap snail shells. She even gave me different looking shells so I could tell the crabs apart when they wear them! I will definitely try out The shop you recommended next time I look for shells :) I've already had a try-on o...

Re: SURVEY! SHELLS

I have 1/2 a ceramic flower pot that sits on the substrate, and I use that as a bit of a shell shop. I tried elevated, but it wasn't popular. The ceramic pot is the current favourite sleeping spot right now, so that's a bit of a bonus! :) I suppose they like the heat it'd hold!

Where to get greensand in Australia?

I have been looking for greensand that is available in Australia. There is nothing on Amazon, eBay, or bunnings. Any Aussies who know where to get it?

Re: New crabs- light colored injuries (?) and quarantine questions

I quarantine for a month, even if there are no sicknesses. Mainly it is so that they get food and water in them so that they are in good health before they try to moult.
I'm afraid I don't know what those white marks are, though.
Good luck with your new crabs!
