I have at least 2 kinds of mites. Does anybody have any recommendations to get them under at least something that resembles under control? So at least they are not crawling all over the walls of my tank?

This is why I’m worried I would say about 90% of these dots are mites
And I’m not sure how to get them under control. They are giving me the heebie jeebies.

Mites, Mites, and more Mites!!
I haven’t posted for a while as everything has been going well, but starting in Mid December my family and I went on vacation for a week and then I was sick for a week or two so they didn’t get the care they needed. Changing the water and food and spritzing the moss was one of the last things I did ...

Re: Hide ideas for a jumbo?
You could use a Guinea pig hutch/hide here’s pics of a couple of different ones and then just silicone coconut mat or stones to make it dark inside https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210727/f374fcdfafb74c77519ba1ecf2b108bf.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210727/62e54f11d6f13847ba73edb47852a2f...

I caught her in the act!!!
So almost every night I wake to my thermometer being tipped over. Sometimes it will be down on the substrate, and sometimes it will be back by the heaters. I think this is Marina, I have 2 in this tank that have the same shell. I heard a thunk and went to look and saw her clinging to the thermometer...

Re: Help!! Algae in crabitat? Long post
Algae is the combination of 3 things, light, moisture and nutrients. They will grow, and its relatively normal. Algae by itself is not an issue, however, it could indicate that the substrate is getting a little too moist, so you may want to check for a flood. To check, you get a chopstick, ruler, b...

And one of my crabs ( I THINK it’s Marina) is almost right underneath it you can see in the picture, her window to the outside world. Usually the lamp is laying down on the tank with the bulb ...

Re: Help!! Algae in crabitat? Long post
Could you post a photo of the algae? Like is it on the top and 1.5 inches through the whole sub? Or do you see it just along the walls of the tank, 1.5 inches down? https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210718/a0245ea2b5ce7dd83fa0621c2af4a815.jpg I only see it in the front. Can anyone give me any advice before I go and take everything out of my tank?
And start digging crabs up? I really don’t want to, but if it’s necessary, I will.

Help!! Algae in crabitat? Long post
Has anyone ever had algae in their substrate? My tank is a 30gal and I have always had a small problem with the maintaining the humidity. I do end up spraying my tank about one time a week and I try to stick to the moss pit and the grapevine log I have my tank covered with a glass lid, a insulated a...
