Your crabbies will be ok with no holes in the lid. They get air exchange when you lift the lid to do tank maintenance. I never though of using glass from a picture for a lid. How clever!

glass lid (ventilation)

Hi, i have a glass lid that i stole from one of my picture frames, it doesnt have holes on the top but i do leave a sliver open, is that ok? i open the lid twice a day. The humidity it 80+ normally. Just worried that my crabs will suffocate if my lid doesnt have vents

A day later, they seem ok, but havent moved much, one is still hiding at the top of the tank and the other buried itself

Did you give them both a bath? It probably has nothing to do with the shells and instead is a territorial issue. Dunking them in the same water (like the pools!) makes them smell the same. It can help mitigate some aggression.

Hi, your setup looks great! One thing I would say is that the eco earth looks a bit dry. You should not worry about it’s friends eating each other, as this rarely happens on the occasions that one crab is molting and a larger crab digs it up.
