2 purple punchers need a home near MD
We have 2 purple pinchers looking for a new home. Happy to provide the entire crabitat (20 gallon tank, 2 water dishes, shells, climbing things, etc.) or just the crabs. One is very outgoing, and one is very shy. We are in the Bel Air, MD area. Please let me know if interested!

Buried for weeks, came out one night, buried again
We have 2 hermit crabs - one buried itself 5 weeks ago, and the other one about 4 weeks ago. They were not eating and no evidence of them coming up, so I assumed they were molting. About a week ago, there was evidence of one coming up (a hole where he came out of, disturbed substrate where he re-bur...

Burying Shells
I was wondering if anyone has suggestions for how to keep the crabs from burying their extra shells? I saw some folks keep them on a second level, but I only have a 10-gallon tank and don’t really have the space for a second level. Other thoughts? Thank you!

Re: Crabitat okay?
I downloaded tapatalk - thank you! Here are the pictures...I will take out the sponges. Also, been watching humidity and it has been sitting around 80%. The substrate is ~5 inches deep. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200827/94f6124170b45a6d448b5343db9f7892.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20...

Crabitat okay?
Looking for feedback on if the crabitat is good as is. 2 hermit crabs in a 10- gallon tank (I now know it should be 20, but didn’t know when we bought it...will upgrade some day). Substrate is a mix of coconut fiber and sand (I find this hard to spot clean...can’t see where needs cleaned up, so I ju...

Well rounded diet?
We just got hermit crabs a few days ago, and I want to make sure we are giving them a well-rounded diet. I was thinking commercial food supplemented with fresh food. Suggestions? I have some urgency to make sure I give them well-rounded food quickly, because I THINK one of them is molting and I don’...
