Re: Florida Adopters

SOUTH FLORIDA (FORT LAUDERDALE) Hi there! I'm Jeff and I'm in South Florida (Fort Lauderdale). I'm willing to adopt any crab or species for the time being. I currently have a 125 gallon crabitat that is home to 5 tiny PPs. Heat and humidity are closely and automatically monitored with digital gauge...

Re: Flooding (outside the tank)

Ugh, I'm so sorry to hear that. Hopefully nothing happens to you and your home!

I echo Wodesorel. A 10 gallon with moss, to keep it lightweight and transportable would be best. Plus, it can act as supplemental food for the crabs.

Good luck and keep us posted!

Re: Upgrading To 20 Gallon Tank

Congrats on the upgrade!

I remember going from a Kroger Keeper to a 10 gallon, to a 20, a 20 long, a 29 gallon, then 55, then 75 and now 125.

Enjoy & update us with pics!

I'm the same way. I never have replaced substrate in any of my tanks I've had. Only ever added when I've grown.

Daaang!! It's looking pretty good. When do the crabs get added?
That stand is really pretty too!

They got added! 5 very small PP's made their way home with me. They all dug down pretty much that night, so no photos of them, yet!

Re: Today’s the Day! 125 gallon new build!

Alright! Most of the stuff we got went into the tank and I’m pretty happy with how it all turned out. Totally forgot instant ocean to make salt water and tape to hang the background. Oops! After some slight issues with the pay online, pick up in store, the tank is finally home and the U-Haul has been returned. Time to get this thing set up!!

Today’s the Day! 125 gallon new build!

Today is the day I’ve been waiting for! I just purchased the tank (saved 15% by using buy online, pickup in store! [emoji7]) and ordered the cargo van from UHaul. We’re heading to Petco & PetSmart now to get some supplies and then a friend is coming over to help us pick up the tank. No pics yet, but...

Pool & Filter Help

Hey everyone! I am planning out my 125 gallon crabitat that I'll be building next weekend. One thing that I'd like to do this time around is provide a much deeper pool with the extra space that I usually can't do. I had a thought about using a 2.5 gallon aquarium for pools (1 of fresh the other for ...

Re: Crabs haven’t molted in6 months!

6 months isn’t really that long of a time to go without a molt. Crabs a curious little creatures and scheduled are not something they believe it. Just keep conditions where they’re supposed to be, feed them right, and make sure they aren’t acting sluggish. It’ll happen in time! Sent from my iPhone u...

Re: 75 gallon build!

Hey Kermie16! Thank you!

I found them at a PetCo here. They usually only have PP’s, but they had a ton of E’s this time around!

Thank you Daws! [emoji3]

Re: Ultratherm Question

I actually don’t have one on the back right now. The tank has been running steady today at 77... I don’t think I want one along the entire back, which is why I’m going to toy with the idea on putting one on the side for now
