It looks so good!
I REALLY love the way you have all that wood set up. So many perfect little hidey holes!

Re: Building My Crabitat

Ahhh, it feels good to be home. We have been out of town since Thursday - I've been dreaming about working on my crabitat. :crabblush: The addiction is SO real. Anyway, today is window day. Going to be working on getting those windows ready. My nephews found a nice piece of diftwood for my crabs tha...

Re: Pictures of my 55 gal Crabitat

Nice!
I both loved and hated my 55gal. I always felt like it was too narrow but i LOVED the length of it. Looks like you have definitely made good use of the space there, though!

How deep is that substrate? It looks a little shallow but it's always hard to tell in pictures.

Re: Building My Crabitat

Just FYI, Rustoleum is also sold in pint sized cans. With cheap foam rollers or brushes it's better coverage and way less expensive then going through cans of the spray! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk I have a ton of spray paint around here so I'm just using up what I have. :) Will remember f...

Re: Taking the plunge!??

Hello! I have been a member for awhile. I became obsessed with Hermit Crabbies about 3 years ago. I think I read every post on the forum and then some. I didn't get any at the time because it was a time of transition for me (college, moving, wedding, etc). Life got crazy and I fell off the map unti...

Re: Heating a 55-gallon tank

I would look into investing in an ultratherm UTH for the back of the tank because those are the ones you can insulate and if the UTH itself doesn't help with heat you can add some cardboard and other insulation on top of it to help. With UTH's that you can't insulate you're kind of limited on what y...

Re: Humidity problem, Need help asap

The fogger is supposed to create fog! To better help you out, make sure you fill out the help request template: here Or I can post it here for you as well. :) 1. What kind of substrate is used in your tank and how deep is it? 2. Do you have gauges in the tank to measure temperature and humidity? If ...

Re: Hermit crabs mood slowly getting worse and worse (lost c

Chiming in to say that I have to agree with Wode. Unfortunately, it does sound like he's already gone. :( Leave him be and wait to see if he gets a little stinky. Molting crabs do often seem dead, so I would give it a little bit of time, but I wouldn't suggest getting your hopes up. It sounds like y...

Ooooh! He's beautiful! I don't think I would ever want to care for a snake but I love being able to watch other people care for them (if that even makes sense lol) - kind of how I really only like cats if they don't live in my house. :hlol: I'd love to see what kind of habitat you have set up for hi...

Re: Atlas lovesss boiled eggs!

So great that he loves it so much! He's adorable. I love him.

I never like leaving any sort of eggs for more than overnight or if I put some out in the morning I'll take them out before I go to bed, so ~8-12ish hours. They get a horrible stink to them pretty quick, unfortunately.
