Re: Living in a coastal town

I have 25 crabs right now, split between a 40 gallon and a 110 gallon. All the ones in the 40 gallon are the smalls who will be sent to schools as class pets after we've worked on setting up a proper crabitat. I rehabilitate a lot of them ^^ Aaaaah 110 gallon, my dream gallonage! Sounds like crabto...

They will be happy about it [emoji4]
It was a good idea to be safe. This is a 500gallon tat here! Those KKs will make great ISOs, when needed. So exciting! I hope you do a pro video tour of the finished mansion tat!!

Re: New guy

Too big shell could be good. Hopefully it means he is strong, carrying all that around. Also that he is safe, protected from attacks. Happy crabbing!

That looks fabulous. What size will it be? How will you provide fresh water? What will you use for hides and climbs?
Your drawing is so pro!!

Re: Sebastian is being forceful .

Pushing itself isnt a problem. It is possible that you are over crowded. It also looks like your substrate is extremely shallow. Perhaps you are seeing the beginning stages of increased aggression due to overcrowding. Increase your substrate level to the maximum and see if that calms him down. Crabb...

Re: Crabitat from Singapore

I agree. What breed are they? Asian breeds are exotic breeds that require more space, whether to climb or dig. A 40gallon breeder would be a good minimum size for 8 crabs. I would go with a minimum of 50-55 gallons, so that i wont need to upgrade for a while. I also agree that both pools should be d...

Even if his dance was extra good? He could be giving you his all! What if he had the spirit of MICHAEL JACKSON in his dance? Would you smash a moonwalking spider?

Re: UTH Size?

Get the whole length, but above the line of substrate. Heating the pool should be no prob, they like the water warm.

Re: surface molt or dead/ dying?

Hi staticfurball! I just wanted to add: Do not bury your guy yourself. Its ok to give him stuff to bury in, though. Crabs dig down to get cool. Don't worry about it not being completely warm, as long as he can move to a warm spot of he needs to. When in ISO i would just put them where you know it is...
