I now have one brave soul who has left the pool and is on the brink of becoming a land hermit crab. It's one of the last ones I put in tonight

Re: Aussie Breeding attempt #2 Dec 2016

Monday 19th December Day 16 0930 Shell 1 was sitting in the same spot in the pool as where I left it last night. Shell 2 also in the other pool. Sub is evenly damp but the fresh pool is drying up. I think that might be because it is so shallow and close to the heat mat. Might need to move it long t...

The pool with the sand ramp had been wicking into the sub until it was almost empty. (about 150ml) Fortun...

Re: Kreisel Tank Setup Diagram

Zoea and mega are very fragile. Water changes need to be done without moving them too much. Scooping them up in a fish net would be way too damaging. Initially I use a larger piece of clear plastic tubing with a stocking over the end to avoid sucking up the zoea as they are everywhere and very tiny....

Re: Aussie Breeding attempt #2 Dec 2016

Nothing more to report this morning. Both jars have mega eating and checking out shells. #2 has a couple in shells but they are getting used to the new feel. Mega in trans tat has not reappeared.
