Re: Food dish on second level?
I don't know what your setup looks like but I was able to create a pretty cool and spacious second level in my tank using a plastic dish drainer and some locking suction cups. I also got the Flukers Spring loaded bamboo bars to use fo reinforcement on the corners. However, I cut the dish drainer to...

My daughter laughs...she knows I despise cooking. I feed the family bc I have to not bc I like to [emoji12] and yet I'll pull out all the stops for these crabs. Lol they laugh at me but I can see everyone else watching the happenings in the tank just as much as I do (although they don't admit it) Se...

New Owner/Burrowing Question
If I remember correctly, I had seen a post recently from an admin stating her recommendation for E's is no less than a 40g tank... the feeler fights are normal crab behavior as long as they aren't trying to pinch each other or remove each other from their shells. They can throw down with the best of...

I thought I was the only one staying up to watch crabbies in the dark. My husband says they eat way better than we do. Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk My husband was grumbling last night bc I made him eat leftovers but I fixed a sliver of chicken and a fruit medley for the crabs [emoji12] Se...

New Owner/Burrowing Question
From what I understand the Ecuadorians do need a little extra room, in particular they need a lot of substrate bc they really enjoy digging. I'm still new to hermit crabs as well and have an Ecuadorian. They are all different personalities but from what I gather the Ecuadorians tend to be a little m...

Look up Info on Ecuadorian hermits. That is what they look like to me. However, the red one is not the same species and might be a purple pincher hermit.

Re: So here I go....
I didn't realize I had two different kinds until I got home to Indiana. After having done research on them, I now know a huge indicator would have been the two distinctly different type of shell openings they were wearing and their color. But we were rushed and I didn't notice. My little E is very s...
