Rabbits also eat there own cud, though in a other than typical method. Food is eaten quickly and passes through their digestive system quickly and comes out as a pellet. This partially digested food is very nutritious as it has most nutrients still in it and easier to digest when re-eaten. Droppings...

I didn't plan on trying anything. He knows better than me what he needs. I just was curious if others have seen this behavior and if it is a sign of eventual death.
That and my wife doesn't care about the crabs so I don't have anyone to talk to about it lol

No his legs are bald, also tips are a bit chipped, including large claw. I am thinking the white is just his overall color. Maybe a sign of earlier malnutrition. however he has not changed color since his current months of good nutrition.

I had a sympathy buy from Petsmart because it was the last live crab and I hoped to give it a shot. Plus side the Petsmart did take my advise and changed their care. Is rubber bad for hermit crabs
I am having some difficulty water sealing my new tank construction. I have a fiberglass resin and silicon but water still leaks. I know plasti dip will work, a spray on rubber, but is it harmful for crabs. It would only be on the bottom 2-3 inches of the 9 inch sub.
