Re: 20g tall with lid
Your tank and shells look beautiful! I LOVE what you did with that glass jar!!! That's definitely something I'll do when I upgrade. I've kept aquariums for years and I plan on starting to build my own eventually. That way I can make the tank with the exact dimensions and shape that I want. I'll have...

Re: Worms in water bowl
As long as the crabs are acting healthy and you don't see any on them, or coming back to the water I wouldn't worry too much

Re: Worms in water bowl
Maybe they came from some food? I've kept aquariums for years and sometimes when fish get sick it's because the food has eggs of parasites in it which get the fish sick after they eat

Re: I'mabout to give up! They keep dying...
Thank you all for the kind workds. I feel like a crab killer. I know this sounds really dramatic. People just don't seen to understand. They say "so buy another one" or "it's not a dog!!!". It's not, but its a life that I chose to care for. If biggie dies, I will not buy any more. I will have two t...

Re: Worms in water bowl
Wow that would be creepy! Can you imagine finding something like that in your food? Reminds me of the time my cousin found worms in his butterfinger bar. I didn't eat candy for years after that. Disgusting!

Re: Shell ID?
Omg. Do u think it matters which shell I get for him? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I would imagine it wouldn't really matter as long as the shells are smooth on the inside, similar shaped openings, and similar weights. Other than that the only reason I imagine he or she wouldn't pick that typ...

That's exactly what I was thinking. You should try to get a picture of itPinchersAndShells wrote:I wonder if it could be pieces of the exo that didn't come off all the way...?

Re: Hello there is a huge bug on penny
I recommend deep breaths and a thorough search of the tank to soothe the nerves

Re: Talking to Hermit Crabs
Olve used to be very active but he has started to slow down and eat less now. He just hides in their elevated moss pit all day long. I'm hoping he's not preparing to molt there but if he does it'll be relatively easy to isolate him since it's elevated and Yippe is molting as well. Your Olivia sounds...

That is literally my exact thought process every time I see a bug in my room and it disappears while I run to get a shoe to kill it

Re: Hello there is a huge bug on penny
I have to add that I near daily have a mini heart attack because I mistake my hair for spiders on the floor. My carpet is light brown and my hair is very very curly and dark brown so it always looks like little spiders on the floor. Imagine when it's windy and the breeze comes in from the window sen...

Re: Hello there is a huge bug on penny
I feel completely stupid. I freaked out over a piece of moss... We've all had moments like this. I frequently find myself looking for my crabs' food in my pen drawer. Freaking out because I can't find any only to realize what I'm doing. Too much college school work I suppose... as I walk to the fri...
