Re: Double Decker Crabitat

I don't know about cutting glass. But I once had a smaller tank on a larger one. I put the smaller one upside down and had an opening on the led of the larger for them to get up there. Would that be possible? What kind of led do you have on the tank they are in?Image

Yeah I thought about that. I'm going to see how much they use it. If its unpopular with them I'll take it out for the extra digging space.

Re: Tunnel and cave.

I made a tunnel going down to a large glass jar. We'll see how it works. One of my pp's already went down. Thanks for sharing the pictures :) I just wanted to let you know that the pine log is still listed as unsafe, and a majority of crabbers will not use them. Also, I'd be careful with the silver...

Re: Exotic Questions

Woah i have been able to find Es at almost any petco and petsmart. I heard they were the hardiest after PPs. I have always wanted a colony full of different species. Or at least a tank of twos like Noahs ark lol. Who here has indos violas or blues? I have even called customer service at both petsma...

Re: Exotic Questions

Yes the straws have to have saltwater. I have three with four pp's in a 60 gallon. I plan to get more. But I want E's and can't find any. If that is the case, do you plan on getting a larger tank, or keep the e's in a different tank? That would be my recommendation. :) Straws need more room than th...

Re: Exotic Questions

Cant say much is i'v only had straws for a couple months. But I do know that they are getting along good with the pp's. And they love the saltwater pool, I rarely saw any of my pp's in it. Its a gallon pool they fully submerge in. They also aren't is chicken is the pp's lol.

Rubber safe for crabs?

Thinking of making a tunnel that goes down to a underground cave this weekend [the cave would be a very large glass jar]. I was thinking of using those rubber drains that hook to the down spout of house gutters and lay on the ground. So it would be strong but flexible. I know paints are bad for herm...

Also don't buy shells from them. They are nothing but beach store shells.
