Re: So, this isn't optimal.
Quick follow up question, I notice the little guys have dirtied up the other shells in there. Should I clean them up when I notice them get dirty or just leave that to the crabs? Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk I heard that you should clean the dirty shells to prevent bacteria build up in th...

Re: my crab decided to molt in his dome
What kind of substrate do you have? I'm not familiar with coconut ground shavings. Maybe they meant ground coconut shavings, which is EcoEarth or coconut fiber Sent from my LM-Q710(FGN) using Tapatalk Oh, duh! Re: my crab decided to molt in his dome

I left home for about 2 weeks and my mom said krabs was drigging around like crazy and flipped over allll the stuff in his tank (nothing new, he loves to dig) yest...

Re: Worried About Molting Again
Can you get a Wyze Cam? They’re only about $25 on Amazon, it opens up a whole new world of watching them, then you would be able to see if Moja is coming up at night. It’s really easy to set up also. ♡ Rod ♡ Salty ♡ Bob ♡ Squirt ♡ Crabina ♡ »-♡-> Our Purple Pinchers »-♡-> I never thought of a camer...

Winter Temps
I've heard crabbers mention monitoring temps more in winter. Do they mean monitoring for high temps because it gets warmer due to the heat being on? Or watching for cooler temps?

Worried About Molting Again
The crab that I got with Koa (Moja) has been under since about mid-August. There's a possibility he could be coming up very late at night, but I've seen no sign of him. Koa, the largest, has been up and down. I have only seen Koa, Chella, Siam, and Ozark. I understand that they can even go through m...

Re: leftover food- wasted
Unfortunately, I do end up tossing it out, unless it's still good enough to be eaten. I always do end up throwing some uneaten food away, it seems almost inevitable unless you begin to feed smaller portions of food... Re: Creativity: popsicle sticks
My son came down with this bad boy last night lol. So we are going to cover it with sticks to look like a "tree fort" today. (His words lol) so i gotta get a new tube of silicone.... crabs are so picky ;) https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181110/69d899ff4215aa0f8ef094c12dfa96b7.jpg Sent from my SM...

Re: Isopods: How many is too many?
How would I be able to tell if my isopods in the crabitat are out of control? I've seen plenty since the babies I've put in have grown and bred, but how can I know when they're getting out of hand? Also, if they do, how can I get rid of them? Sent from my LM-Q710(FGN) using Tapatalk My thread had a...

Brown marmorated stink bug?
I had some stink bugs in the dry insect collection that I feed my reptiles, and I was wondering if I put one or two in with the food, if it'd be a safe food item..

Re: Smallest crab took largest shell.
This made me snicker a bit [emoji4] My smallest crab, Siam, also changed into a shell way too big for him, but this was simply because he was desperate to get out of the painted shell, and I didn't any shells small enough for him; I also was unable to get any until the nearest store was open the nex...

Re: Wild Hermie found!
Is the crab indeed wild? In other words, are they wild where you live? If so, it should stay in the wild. No I live in Texas. It’s much too hot and dry for them. My guess is it molted and now it’s back up. It’s a female purple pinger and she seems to be adjusting well. She’s destressing underground...
