Re: Naked crab

So this little guy is staying in his shell now but still seems weak. I’m offering foods off the healing food list - cuttlebone, crushed oyster shell, bee pollen, worm castings, honey, crushed lobster & crab shell. I’m also offering millet & green sand. He doesn’t seem much interested in food. I’m de...

Great job on Stardust! I wouldn’t give up hope on Lyra just yet, she could’ve gone down to destress, come up at night when you didn’t see, then went back down to molt.

Re: Naked crab

I think it’s camera angle, but some are a bit big for him. He shifted back into a green turbo, which is what he was originally in. He’s spent the day hiding in his shell and staring into space sitting there. I’ll put him back into iso b Food i’m offering right now is all healing foods - ground crab ...

Naked crab

Hi I have another post going but it’s gotten really long and it seemed like my crabbie Seewee was doing better I things took a bad turn today. Last night I lit him back in the big tank. This morning he was naked so I helped him respell and put him back in iso for an hour. He switched shells again an...

Re: Sick crab

Oof, woke to Seewee naked walking around this morning! Thanks to you guys I knew just what to do and was able to gently rinse him and respell him. He didn’t want to go back in his old shell, or any fir that matter really. So I finally put him in a shell that’s maybe a bit big for him, but I was able...

Re: Sick crab

Yeah, it’s hard to know what’s right to do. My main hesitation is that he’s a gait but smaller than my other 2 crabs and one of them has been VERY active lately. I caught my big guy trying to sneak out the other morning and again this morning [emoji15][emoji23] I’ll try putting him back in tonight a...

Re: Sick crab

Iso is 83% humidity and 73 degrees. Main tank is 89% humidity and 80 degrees. There’s not enough room for the iso in the main tank. I’m tempted to just put him in the main tank and see how he does now. Is that awful of me? I don’t want to hurt my other crabs, but my gut says that whatever was going ...

Re: Sick crab

I don’t know if there is a problem anymore? I don’t know how to tell if he’s still sick. He is lethargic and not eating much if any, but that could be because his temp is lower than the regular tank because iso has just little warmers instead of good heaters. He’s not doing the staring out of iso an...

Re: Sick crab

Ok so Seewee’s last bath is tonight and I’m nervous. He seems to be enjoying the baths but stays in his cave most the day and night as far as I can tell. His food looks untouched but there’s been a sudden increase in saltwater consumption and he’s not staring out the side of the iso anymore. Yester...

Re: I accidentally brought a foreign creature home!

I’m sorry that you weren’t able to save them... but remember this weight isn’t completely on your shoulders. I’m sorry that your Grandma wasn’t willing to help you get what you needed. I’m sure next time you’ll check shells super carefully before leaving the beach. Learning from mistakes is a hard p...
