Re: Question about storing water

I'll start off by saying that some people go weeks with it sitting out without issues. Anytime water is treated and left sitting out, bacteria and other things will start to grow. This can lead to slime in the bottle, or algae. The safest way is to store it in the fridge or just make it as you need...

Re: Cleaning new items....

Curious as to how everyone cleans new items purchased like plastic foliage? Right now I have one soaking in dechlorinated fresh water... I rinse in dechlorinated tap water and put it in the tank. There's no need to soak plastic plants or tank accessories. Sent from my LGMS550 using Tapatalk Thank y...

I have yet to figure out how to get my pics on here. It always tells me my file is too large, both through Tapatalk and from my iPad. Guess I should try from my laptop maybe?

New crabitat!!

So I FINALLY got to start setting up my new crabitat last night and couldn’t wait to see if any of my crabbies would be awake so I could move them lol. Well, 2 DID grace me with their presence...I let them eat and wander a bit before moving the 2 and it’s been so fun watching them explore....change ...

Question about storing water

Hi! Quick question about storing water. I fill gallon jugs, one with fresh, one with MSW. I also store some Dechlorinated FW and MSW in Tupperware dishes for randoms like rinsing items etc. how long will each last before becoming unable to use...if it does?

Food buffet

So after days of a newbie I was worried about... He finally came up and has been feasting for over an hour!!!! I didn't even have much out because they have all been down but he has been at the peanut butter, a grape, river shrimp, honey and the egg shells... It makes me feel better that he came up ...

Re: Substrate mixing question

I preferred to mix in tank, but many find it easier to mix in bucket... even then, crabs will end up mixing it themselves so it doesn't have to be perfect! Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk Thank you! Picking up my tank stand later so hoping to get started at least with substrate and getting lev...

Re: Substrate mixing question

Yep! There is nothing wrong with going with more EE and it will help with the hunidity levels for sure. Just be aware it may take more maintence when it comes to keeping it moist, and that it can get oversaturated more easily as well. One more question... Is it easier to mix in the tank or a bucket...

Re: Crabitat done!

I hope he continues to be more active... I'm hopeful now... Most of the crap sand I had is off of his shell since this last time he dug down it was in EE. Starting to set up my new tank later today with the proper substrate levels so I hope he stays above or at least pops back up again when the new ...

Re: Crabitat done!

One guy came up after digging down a couple days...glad to see he is ok (all of mine are newbies so to see one come up is a relief lol). He is also eating the peanut butter I put out....added some honey to the dish too
