Command hooks. Every now and then they come off so I just replace it.
Thank you. 👍🏻

Re: Is this water safe for hermit crabs?

Looks they did change it recently - I am so sorry! I'm going to update our list now. I would recommend opening a claim (or however they do it on Amazon so you can get a real person) and ask why it can't be returned. It might be a mistake. I've never not had a company allow a return or refund by inq...

Re: Hamster wheel won't turn? I have a pic of it, any ideas.

We use command hooks and suction cups to hang the wheels upside down. I am hit and miss with the command hooks. Sometimes they stick great, other times they just fall off. I always clean the glass really good with some apple cider vinegar then rinse with dechlorinated water and dry really well with...

Moss pit replacements?

Hi, I’m going to be a crab owner soon and I was thinking about adding a moss pit to my tank. My family has allergies so I can’t use real moss. I also heard fake moss has dyes and things like that so I shouldn’t get it. Does anybody know what I can use instead of moss? If not, should I skip the pit i...

Is this water safe for hermit crabs?

Hi, I looked at the conditioners on hermitcrabassociation, and when I saw reptisafe, it said it covered Chloramine, ammonia, slime coat, and heavy metals. I ordered one from amazon thinking I was getting something good, but once I got it I noticed it didn’t say it got rid of heavy metals. I tapped t...

Re: Hamster wheel won't turn? I have a pic of it, any ideas.

It looks like it's sitting on the ground. Maybe it's the angle of the picture. Here's a pic of mine. I have it hanging "upside down" a couple of inches above the ground. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190316/ba2fa20e1d286a1ac207cfc0053dfe00.jpg Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk Hi, how do yo...

What are some recommendations?

Hi, I’m going to be a hermit crab owner soon, but I don’t have all the supplies. I have a twenty gallon tank high, a screen lid (and putting plastic wrap or the special plexiglass thing on top to keep in humidity), eco earth substrate (I’m going to get playsand soon), instant ocean salt, a coco hut,...

Ok, then it is probably recovering from being stressed, sick, or PPS. Hope it has a successful molt!❤️

Re: molting concern

I think maybe you should wait till it molts then see if it is a concern or not. Did it already have missing limbs when you got them or did it lose them after you already had them in the tank?

Re: Is this a good one?

I wouldn’t recommend getting the heater to put on top of the tank. My reason being is that the hermit crabs could dry out not being able to escape the heater if needed. What I recommend is either getting a simple heating pad from Walmart of Walgreens. If you get a thermostat and keep an eye on it y...

Does everyone buy the shells before or after they get the hermit crabs? And thank you.

Re: What should I do?

I’m not sure if I found the one you were looking at but the 8x18 ipower was $39.99 on Amazon and an ultratherm from reptile basics 11x23 is $24.99. I think it would be ok if the ultratherm went under your substrate a little, some people cover the whole backs of their tanks so I’m sure a couple inch...

What kind of she’ll should I get?

I am going to get hermit crabs soon, and I need to get shells. I am planning on having around 4 or 5 PP teeny or small hermit crabs so I will need around 20 shells. I saw PP hermit crabs prefer turbo shells with circle ⭕️ openings. What sized shell openings should I get for teeny and small sized cra...

Is this a good one?

Please read the whole thing before answering. Hi, I have a 20 gallon high tank and the backside is 24” by 16”. I am planning on having small micro or tiny hermit crabs so the substrate will be at least 6” tall. I need an under tank heater for (the back of) my tank. I saw that the brand hermit crab A...
