Re: Cinnamon: Unsafe?

😂 No. I suck at multiple windows on my phone. Sorry! There was another post from a bit back that also had some info. 😆I read the second post about the fruit mix that had cinnamon and some kind of berry, and the Christmas tree pictures. Could I let my crabs go on a fake Christmas tree? We usually do...

Re: Found dead crab mystery

Also have you only had 4 crabs in total over the time of your crab experience, or have you had more?

Re: Found dead crab mystery

Could one of the crabs that passed been an exoskeleton? What if the crab you found in the drawer was the real her and the one in the soil is just an exo. Just a guess. Or that but switched around

Re: New crab owner, habitat help - adopting 5 small hermit crabs Monday

If you want it to shut off on its own at a certain temperature you should look at (I think it is called this) heat mat controllers. You plug them in the wall and you plug the heat mat into the controller. Most of the people on here recommend ultratherm (with insulating) but I used an UTH from amazon...

Re: New crab owner, habitat help - adopting 5 small hermit crabs Monday

I just use water bottles for the waters. It helps the saltwater to stay dissolved when I shake it. The container in the link should be fine. :)

Re: Reptile Supply Co?

I've seen it online, and they have really good prices. But our family hasn't bought from them yet. I think one of the reasons is that it isn't a big store yet (like petco or petsmart).

I must have perfect timing! I just went to mist his iso tank and peaking in on him. He's molting. His exo is laying outside his shell. Covered him up so that he has a nice dark place to rest and build up his energy.
yay!

Re: Mixing crabs???

If you live somewhere that doesn't have hermit crabs up for adoption that often and you want to get one quickly it should be fine. I read on some website that someone who was in charge said "that it was always order more crabs". Not how many were bought, taken, stayed, or passed. It was just buy mor...

Re: There was a bug in my crab's shell!

Do you have a photo? Sent from my ONEPLUS A5010 using Tapatalk Sorry no, and I haven't seen it since I saw it the first time and I didn't see it in the water after each bath. I can say it was orangeish reddish and it was very tiny. It was bigger than a grain of sand and It crawled across his shell.

Re: There was a bug in my crab's shell!

I gave Peach and Blueberry (the only known ones up) a saltwater and freshwater bath, and I don't think I saw any mites. there might have been only like one or two from each but the just looked like grains of EE so I'm not sure. It was fun taking the crabs out and playing with them (please no mean co...
