Re: Is this normal crab behavior?

This is Brutus. He's the cutest little thing! https://postimg.cc/grg7wyrK https://postimg.cc/7bt9j7LC I've had him for about 3 years now and he is very protective over all the crab shells. He watches the shells all the time and won't really let the other crabs check out the shells without running u...

Re: Wheel!

I want to get a hamster wheel also. I have 3 in my Amazon cart and I’m not sure which one to get. Is there a certain size or certain brand that works best and do you just leave it on the stand when you put it in the tank?

Re: 29 Gallon Crabby Nursery

Your tank is amazing. Can I ask what you have taped to the back of the aquarium in the second picture? Is it something to help with heating the tank? Also, do you have your heaters duct taped to the tank?

Re: Canadian Chubby Crab

I hope this is all from the recommendation I made. [emoji6] She has some amazing mixes and my guys love her food! Yes, it was from your recommendation. I tried to find your original post but I didn’t remember who it was from or where I had seen it. I had just gotten my hermit crabs and joined this ...

Canadian Chubby Crab

I received my 1st organic order a couple days ago from Canadian Chubby Crab and am beyond happy with the customer service I received, along with my food order. What’s even better, is the fact that my little guys are happy too. They hadn’t been eating since I got them almost a month ago and the past ...

Salt water

After doing more research I have found out that the Hermit Crab Salt water mixture I bought isn’t recommended for hermit crabs...go figure [emoji2962][emoji30]. I’d like to purchase the Instant Ocean that everyone talks about but there are so many different kinds and I want to be sure that I buy the...

He finally came out

I’m not sure how you guys can keep track of who is who. I had my 3 hermit crabs named and then 2 of them switched shells (the 3rd is under) and now I don’t know who’s who. One came out during the day (I’m assuming this is a PP) and was wondering around. I was at work but my boyfriend snapped a pictu...

Worm castings

I’m still new to this website and wasn’t sure where I should post this question since I didn’t see a topic for “Substrate.” I’ve had my 3 hermit crabs for almost a month now and they still seem like they are stressed. One has been hidden under a bowl for two weeks (I don’t disturb him) and the other...

Re: New crab mommy

Welcome to the HCA!!![emoji224][emoji886][emoji175] Seems like you are doing everything right for your little crabbies.[emoji4] You shouldn't have to worry about the little guy under the food dish, my 2 boys always hang out under their bowls. (Just keep an eye on them and make sure they don't get t...

Thank you both for taking the time to reply. I will definitely check out the link. There is a lot of information on the site. I’m sure that as I navigate it more and learn how to use it properly that I will find everything I need. Thank you again!

New crab mommy

My daughter brought home a hermit crab from the fair a couple weeks ago. Like a lot of people, I thought this would be a pretty easy pet to take care of as long as he/she had food and water, and some friends, so I went and bought 2 more hermit crabs and a 10 gallon tank. I did some research online a...
