Re: Species?

Yeah! See that thick shading on all the l8mbs, like someone went too heavy with the contouring makeup? That is an E trait that nearly all have in some color. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk I can def notice that on Jonathan's Cocoa. [emoji846] That's pretty neat! I do have about 10" of substra...

Re: Species?

I'm leaning more towards E with the antenna colors, but the photos are really nondescript. When you get him, get a few pictures at different angles of his claw while it's closed up in the shell. Also try to get a picture of his eyes alert and head on () (). Natural lighting would help, too! Edit: E...

Species?

I'll hopefully be adopting a new crabby next weekend, and just got a couple of pics from the current owner. I love all crabbies, but I'm very excited because this is def not a PP. I don't have a clear shot of the claw, so I was hoping for some identification help. I figured it's an E or a Ruggie. I'...

Re: Lost Limbs

Yeah he has his little pincher still, luckily. I’ll definitely see about finding ways to keep humidity and temperature up. What do you use/do? Our house AC/Heater is a bit messed up so it’s usually hot during the summer and cold during the winter. And recently temps have been fluctuating. Sent from...

Re: New rescue goldfish

Pretty hefty fish then! I love the single tailed goldies, but grow too big for me to feel happy to house one in my current sized aquas/pond. They do have great little personalities for sure. I have a 40 gal breeder now, but with the newbies, I'm assuming I'll have to upgrade in the near future to k...

Re: Nice to meet everyone!

Welcome! Just a suggestion, try freeze dried mealworms. I crunch them up and my crabbies LOVE them. I buy a big 1-2 lb bag, usually off of Amazon. I make my own birdseed mix to feed the wild birds, and add the mealworms to that. And I still have plenty for my crabs. It's much cheaper to buy in bulk ...

Re: ChristinesCrabCare is now open! My Etsy Shop is LIVE!

It must be my phone. When I copy and paste the link it works, but when I tap the link from the post it doesn't. At least I was still able to see your shop. The foods look great!!! [emoji846]

Re: Worried

I'm so sorry. As I do not have a saltwater pool right now(almost have it, need one more material) I thought it would be alright. I did not know it would stress them out! I'm so sorry, now I feel like crap. Casey, I'm so sorry if my advice further harmed Flash. It's totally my fault! I'm so so sorry...

Re: Lost Limbs

The bugs sound like they could be springtails or food mites, which are harmless. They help clean up leftover food and crabby poo lol.

Re: Lost Limbs

As long as you don't notice the other crabs picking on him, he should be ok in the main tank. He still has his little pincher? He can use that to help get food to his mouth. But like Pumpkin mentioned, you can offer him powdered food or food in bite size pieces to make it easier to grab. He should r...

Re: Allentown, PA 1 Crab needs new home

Crabbylover77, are you the moderator in here? how do I add pics in here? Nope, just a fellow crabby lover lol. I believe the Tapatalk app might not show up in the Google play store at the moment, but that is the easiest way to add pics. You can go to your photos in your phone, tap "share", then tap...

Re: Allentown, PA 1 Crab needs new home

What breed? If u don't know then you can send pics to me. I can only take certain breeds which is why I am wondering. I noticed you're in a different state than the person looking to re-home their crab. Currently, the HCA recommends not shipping crabs at this point because of the delays within the ...
