Re: Random 12am thoughts

The first time I added it, did seem to spark some activity. But can’t really figure it out. Sometimes they move stuff around and sometimes it looks like they haven’t moved.

I give mine chicken bones and meat once in a while as well but haven’t noticed any dirfferent behavior. It seems random to me when mine get more active

Re: Local mosses?

Also the testing Cornell is referring to could be from testing the concentrated form and that would make a difference. Unless they are testing real world applications. And the reason seeding can occur the next day is probably because what ever is left over goes into the soil because it has to make c...

Local mosses?

Roundup can be sprayed and seeded into a day later

Edit: but even I wouldn’t use moss from a known roundup location. Just doesn’t feel right.

Local mosses?

Hey guys I’ve been in the golf maintenance industry for 20 years and grew up playing golf so I’ve been around pesticides for a while. I have a degree in Turfgrass management. I have been applying pesticides for years. All the pesticides that are persistent in our environment and don’t break down eas...

Re: Salt and Fresh Water Pool Upgrades! 2.5G Cycled

Hey everyone! these pools look legit!!! I have experience with freshwater fish tanks so i understand all the jargon but i am new to using refractometers and a tds meter. apparently you need calibrating liquid for calibrating those as using distilled or RO for calibrating is said to be too far off fr...

Breeding and Adopting Out

But also selling to pet stores will save wild crabs. Meaning some would be sacrificed for the sake of the wild crabs. darned if you do dammed if you don’t. Double edged sword. Tough call but I’m all for saving the wild ones. There’s other ways we can go about saving wild crabs as well. But it will t...

Re: Breeding and Adopting Out

This would be awesome !!! I hate the fact so many are taken from the wild. I look at the 3 I have and want to tell them sorry they’re stuck in a tank when they were used to roaming tropical shores. I just have a feeling their behavior is different in a tank vs the wild. I think they know they’re con...

Surface Molt/Naked Crab

I’m not totally sure but I would assume an exoskeleton would appear more thin and translucent and not contain as much red color I see in these pics. I’m no experienced crabber but I have to agree with curlysister. I’m sorry. Edit: after looking at pics of exoskeletons it’s difficult to say your pics...
