Crabs aren't very good hunters, so it's best to serve it dead.

If you busted out the bottom of another 'tat and then put it on top, it would add an entire tanks worth of height. Of course, if you decide to go 'tat busting, be careful when busting the glass out of the bottom one! Then, you could use aquarium glue to connect it to your current 'tat. The onl...

Valencia Loves Peanut Butter!

Today, Valencia, one of my ELHC Violas, was walking near the glass and scratching at it so I thought I'd hold him for a while. Then, I decided to give him a little bit of organic peanut butter! :D http://i917.photobucket.com/albums/ad17/schumaker93/IMG_8818.jpg He was really gentle, as I was a...

It's all just a matter of preference. EE hasn't been proven to cause any detrimental effects to crabs. :) I have used it successfully for many years, but I've recently tried out the new sand-EE mixture with smooth aragonite sand. :glasses2: I don't think my ratio is 5:1 sand:EE, however.

I have two questions for everyone who has such luck with cicada skins. 1) Would anyone be interested in mailing me a cicada skin or two in return for one of my food products (under $3.00)? 2) Would anyone with enough access to cicada skins be willing to mail me some (in bulk - around 15 - 20 s...
