When I came home to visit and do some maintenance on the tank, I was surprised! Someone dropped some eggs in the shell shop. Based on their color, they were nowhere near hatching but I was still shocked!
Well the surprises couldn’t just stop there! Momo was hanging out of her shell on top of the cork round, and I got a glimpse of eggs! I picked her up to make sure I wasn’t hallucinating, and sure enough there were definitely a bunch of them! They even have eyes! Super close to hatching. I have the feeling they’ll drop this weekend.
Sadly due to college I do not have the time (or funds) to attempt raising zoea, however I would really like to pursue it in the future. I just wanted to share this experience, I find it really special.
