Orange Isopods

Y'all...someone on my local Craigslist is charging people $1 per isopod for orange isopods.
20 for $20. I'm dying of laughter.
I'll continue to pick the free ones up out of my yard, tyvm.

I did a quick Google search for orange isopods. Apparently a culture of 12-20 individuals can cost anywhere from $11-$25.
I guess I’d see why someone would pay so much for a few isopods, though. I mean, some of us give our hermit crabs some very generous budgets...

what are they for? i would buy some if it was beneficial for my hermies. I have a 10 gallon tank? any thoughts?

Isopods work as tank cleaners. They eat feces and leftover food so things don’t get too messy.
They also make tasty treats. You’d be surprised how good hermies can be at hunting live prey.

Yeah, it's the morph that is expensive. That's actually not a bad deal on adults, especially since there are no shipping costs.
