Heat mat thermostat vs Thermostat

I have purchased a Heat Mat Thermostat by BN LINK. Do I need another thermostat and or hydrometer? I don’t mind getting one. Also I prefer digital since I’ve heard they are more accurate. Anyone have any recommendations? Thank you!

Is there a difference between what I got and let’s say regular digital thermostat?
