All hermit crabs suddenly died

I don't think so? Unless it is a mold I don't know but it not normal mold. I have some of that on cholla wood before (like 3 years ago) so I know how it typically looks.

Reading the emergency template that the OP filled in, there was no mention of any cleaning of the tank recently. Cleaning any bowls or pools with soap should not have caused problems, as these items are generally rinsed after cleaning.

No, I had not cleaned the bowls lately besides rinsing them out, and I never use any soap or detergent with my crabs.
