Violet dug down!

Post by crabby33 » Sun Nov 04, 2018 12:33 pm

Violet finally dug down Friday night after two months of preparing for her molt! I do not expect her to be back up until at least December or January.

Thanks! I plan to wait out the molt like it’s recommended to do. I do not plan to dig her up. I’ve had her for almost five years. I don’t want to take the risk of killing a crab I’ve had for that long. I believe the wait will be worth it.

Definitely, I went crazy when Crabina went under but I’m so glad I didn’t dig her up. That’s so awesome you’ve had her that long, I hope I have mine that long.

I’m extremely lucky she’s been able to bounce back after being dug up multiple times over the four years I’ve had her, but she may not bounce back the next time. So I’m going to leave her alone.
