Bouncing back after being dug up

Post by crabby33 » Thu Nov 08, 2018 1:58 pm

I know our crabs should never ever be dug up and I am waiting out Violet’s molt because I am not sure she will bounce back if she is dug up again, but my question is, even if a crab bounces back after being intentionally dug up, can that slow their growth? The reason I’m asking is that I realized Violet should be much bigger if I’ve had her for four years.

It may take years for crabs to get bigger. I've had Little Chicky for 4 years and just this week she came up from a molt twice her normal size and a dark color. She was always little and pink-ish. Mine have all hit growth spurts that amazed me. Give it time. With the right Heat, humidity, substrate and foods, your little crabby will flourish. Remember to never dig up molting crabs!
