So I found a bunch of nice whale/shark eyes at the beach yesterday. After boiling them I realized that all my purchased shells have a polish.... now my natural shells are dull.
Does anyone safely polish their own shells? What do you use?

Re: Polish?
Olive oil is fine to use to polish the outside. Out a small bit on paper towel, and rub it in.

Re: Polish?
All good. It works in a pinch, before the crabs digging/climbing and general crabbing dulls them again
