Are dried prunes safe?

Are dried prunes safe?

We have these dried prunes and their ingredients are "pitted California dried plums (prunes), potassium sorbate (as a preservative) are they safe???

Potassium sorbate is a preservative so I would avoid it. Any Preservatives or additives should be avoided.

Potassium sorbate has few health risks so I’ve never been concerned by it.
