Is Zoo Med's gourmet beardie food safe for Hermits?

Post by sarcasticLynx » Thu Mar 01, 2018 1:01 pm

Found Zoo med gourmet bearded dragon food, seems to have an amazing variety for hermits, but I'm not sure if all of it is safe, as I do see that it has garlic extract. Is it just as bad?
Sorry if it has something that is an obvious no... I did look through the bad foods list but I could have missed them.

I would not feed this to your hermies. Garlic, juniper and rosemary are all on the unsafe list, and I don't recognise a number of those preservatives. I'd stay on the safe side and find something else. :) I would recommend Zilla Munchies - a little expensive, about $10 for 4 ounces, if I remember correctly, but it should last a long time, and it's all safe. :D I haven't managed to snag any yet, but it's on my list.
