quick question

Post by GRMU99 » Sat Jun 09, 2018 11:42 am

I know I haven't been on here for a while since my last hermit crab died about 2 years ago. So, I took a break from having them until a month ago when I decided to a mass clean to the tank and supplies.

Anyway I have food that I had bought from the Hermit Crab Patch when I had the crabs. Should I just throw all of that out and order fresh? I also have a container of I think dried brime shrimp from petco too.

I would personally get new food, unless the food is dry

If it was sitting out at room temp, I would err on the side of caution and replace it. Oils and fats from things like nuts, coconut, and seafood do go bad over time even when dry. Vitamins and minerals also decrease.
