Yes or no?
Yes or no?
Should I keep food in during the day or just at night?

Hello!
IMO, I like feeding before the lights go off, they are more active durning the night, which is most likely going to be the time they eat. You can put food in whenever you want, this is just my preference:)

I read that I should take out perishable food two hours after I put it in there

They are scavengers and primarily eat decaying organisms and plants in the wild. I leave food in until it starts to smell really badly or molds.Danik wrote:I read that I should take out perishable food two hours after I put it in there

You can remove it once they have finished eating it. Some people like to leave food in longer, and some shorter. I leave my food in for 24 hours.Danik wrote:I read that I should take out perishable food two hours after I put it in there

Two hours doesn't seem long at all. I leave fresh food in for around 24hrs, and dried food for a couple of days at least. I change it whenever I have time, not any specific time of day.

I think it boils down to personal preference, but you definitely need to give them time to eat. I change the food every 24 hours.
