Chopping/shredding foods?

Post by mxxlane » Thu Jun 28, 2018 12:14 am

I’ve always mashed my hermies food and had the easy to grab but do they need carrots and stuff shredded or copped into small pieces? I was thinking it may good for them to use their claws but I’m unsure.

It's really a personal preference. You can chop stuff up or mash it but their pinchers are very strong and they can break things up with them.

I slice things up smaller, it makes it easier for the crabs to eat it, and more smells attract them when it’s cut up.
