Lima Beans and Chia

Post by hermiwormi » Fri Dec 21, 2018 11:12 am

I thought about planting Chia and Lima Beans in the tat for the crabs to pick at and eat. Opinions?

I've seen people grow Lima Beans in many different ways, so I'll give it a go and update.

Just a quick heads up. If you have a saltwater mix in your substrate the seeds will not grow.

You can sprinkle Chia seeds in the moss pit and let them grow there. Or start them growing in a plastic lid filled with wet coconut fiber outside the tank then once they sprout move the entire container into the tank.

I tried Chia seeds several times and my guys would just plow them over moving around. I never saw them actually eat one.
