Does Eggshell need to be boiled before giving it to them or can it be raw?

Post by FSkerlak » Mon Feb 25, 2019 12:14 am

I just saw something about the eggshells need to be cooked first before giving it to the little guys, I really hope i didnt mess up. Can anyone weigh in and let me know if they can be from a raw egg or they need to be from a hardboiled egg? Thanks everyone.

I give mine uncooked as well as cooked- they seem to like the raw better. I do rinse and dry them first though. I can’t say for sure if that is ‘right’ but I am pretty sure it’s personal preference here. HTH!

Keep in mind no one cooks for them in the wild. Sometimes they like cooked stuff but it's safe to give them raw.
