Preservatives & what to watch out for?
Hello! This weekend I might try to dehydrate some fruits for the hermit crabs, and might also buy some other things for them. Is there a list for what names to watch out for in the ingredient list?

Just buy everything fresh and organic. If you get anything just make sure that the ingredients says just that food. No preservatives, sugar, salts, additives, dyes, or unnatural flavors.

If you look at the food section, there is a care sheet about commercial food - it lists some preservatives to watch for.

Steer clear of copper sulfate, ethoxyquin, and BHT for sure!

I avoid anything with the word “meal” in the ingredients list. Fish meal, soy meal, etc.
